GOODNESS AND UNFAILING LOVE

“Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.” Psalm 23:6

The words that stand out to me are GOODNESS and UNFAILING LOVE. And the fact that it says PURSUE me all the days of my life.

To pursue means to seek, persist, persevere, accompany, go after, chase, or follow. It is to “continue to proceed along (path/route)”. And if you put any of those words in front of goodness or unfailing love- that is POWERFUL. For example: He chases me with goodness and unfailing love. Or He goes after me with goodness and unfailing love.

This is beautiful because we can be reminded that through all our high highs and all our low lows we are being pursued ALL the days of our lives (whether we feel it or not) with things that are good and with an unfailing love that we may not understand.

Sit in gratitude today that the God of the universe, the author of your life, is continuing to proceed along the path with you no matter where you go or what turn you take.

This gives the world hope, I see it!
